Our Secondary Debating teams have had a busy Term 2 with Rounds 2 and 3 of Interschool Debating taking place recently, and as always, our debaters did exceptionally well in representing the College.

On Wednesday the 5th May, eight teams from ICOM participated in Round 2 of debating at Williamstown High School. We are excited to report that ICOM scored three wins with many other debates decided by only one point. Congratulations to the following students for getting best speaker of the night: Ali Ali, Qistina Amani, Zainab Raza, Nosayba Aljibal and Caliph Bempah-Marten.

More recently, on Wednesday the 19th of May, our Secondary debaters took part in Round 3 of Interschool Debating with some dominant victories had by our ICOM students. Some of our debaters were awarded the best speaker award on the night including Huzaifa Qidwai, Caliph Bempah-Marten and Nosayba Aljibaly. Nosayba, alongside Khadra El Hawli and Marwa Al-Khalidi make up our D Grade Team 3 who are currently undefeated!

A great effort from all of our Secondary Debaters, well done!
