Last week, selected students from Years 5 and Year 6 participated in the Islamic Schools Sporting Association’s Interschool Sports Carnival.
The Carnival takes place over three days at Coburg Stadium, and the students compete against other Islamic schools from around Melbourne in Basketball and Futsal.
Both boys and girls teams did ICOM very proud, especially our girl’s teams who were crowned the overall champions winning both Futsal and Basketball competitions.
Students had the opportunity to participate in these activities that provided them with productive sessions of study as well as creating for them a sense of belonging and the opportunity to interact with their peers and educators outside the classroom setting.
