The Islamic Leadership & Integrated Arabic Studies course is offered as an elective in Year 9 and is an introductory course into the nationally recognised qualification 22628VIC Diploma of Islamic Leadership that can be studied throughout Years 10-12. Students will have 8 periods a week to study the ILIAS course and will be given a special uniform to wear. In addition to the preparation for the Diploma of Islamic Leadership, students completing the ILIAS course will also be completing and obtaining the Nationally Accredited 10949NAT Certificate II in Applied Language (Arabic).
Students who choose ILIAS will be eligible to:
- Apply for the Umrah Trip Scholarship
- Apply for the Diploma of Islamic Leadership in Year 10
The Diploma of Islamic Leadership intends to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge required to perform in the role of an Imam, religious instructor, and/or Muslim chaplain to serve the Australian Muslim Community in metropolitan and regional areas of varying sizes.
