Welcome Ramadan Assembly

As both Primary & Secondary students started Term 2 today, we would like to wish all parents, staff and students Ramadan Mubarak, we hope you all have a blessed and happy Ramadan this year! To commence our Ramadan events this morning our Primary staff & students held a Ramadan Assembly where students made Quran recitations, performed and spoke about the meaning of Ramadan all while motivating each other through the challenges of this holy month.

Primary Multicultural Day Parade

On Wednesday the 31st of March we celebrated Multicultural Day here at ICOM with activities taking place all across the college. The highlight of the day for our Primary students was our Multicultural Day Parade being held in the ICOM Gymnasium. We focused on 7 countries this year, Bangladesh, Somalia, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, Lebanon and Palestine.

Primary Interschool Cricket

Our Primary Interschool Sports cricket teams were competing last week and achieved spectacular results. Both of our teams made the finals on the day with the ICOM girls finishing in 1st place overall.
Congratulations to all of our ICOM cricketers who competed on the day, we look forward to seeing you all put to the test again in the future.

Primary Interschool Basketball

Both our male and female Primary Interschool Sports basketball teams were out and about last Wednesday as they took on some fierce competition.
All of the students who took part put their best foot forward,
displaying brilliant skills while being humble and well mannered in both victory and defeat.

Primary Quran Competition 2021

The 2021 Islamic College of Melbourne Primary Quran Competition is fast approaching. An educational competition which aims to enhance our student’s connection with the Holy Quran.

Teddy Bear’s Picnic

On Wednesday the 10th of March our Foundation students participated in an engaging & educational themed day as they embarked upon their very first teddy bear’s picnic! The Foundation students were all invited to bring their favourite teddy bear or soft toy to school with them as they took part in a day packed full of activities focused around teddy bears and involving their toys in the fun.

During literacy and numeracy classes our Foundation students were excited to find the theme of the day was present here too, other activities included teddy bear counting, making their very own teddy bear apron, designing teddy bear head bands to wear for the day, teddy bear sorting and having teddy bear biscuits with chocolate milk for a snack and of course, fairy bread as a treat during lunch time.

Welcome Back Primary Students

Islamic College of Melbourne would like to welcome back our Primary students for 2021 with our Year 1–6 students commencing on Wednesday the 27th of January and our brand new Foundation students starting their journey with us on Thursday the 28th of January.

2020 Year 6 Graduation

The 2020 ICOM Year 6 Graduation Ceremony took place on the 27th of November giving our Year 6 students a final opportunity to reflect on their primary school years and reminisce with their teachers and classmates.
