Curriculum

Middle Years learning builds on Junior foundations through subject-specialist teaching, elective choice and greater academic autonomy. Students continue with core subjects in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Arabic and Islamic Studies, while beginning to select elective areas that match their strengths and interests.

Teachers emphasise independent learning, critical thinking and real-world application — preparing students for the demands of senior study and equipping them with the skills to navigate it confidently.

The Arts

From Year 9, students can select elective subjects that match their interests and talents — from advanced sciences and business studies to visual arts and sport science. Year 10 students may begin VCE Units 1 & 2 or VET certificates as part of their pathway preparation.

Inquiry & Real-World Learning

Middle students engage in inquiry projects and real-world learning experiences that connect classroom study to community and career exploration. From research investigations to enterprise challenges, these projects foster teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

Pathway Preparation

Year 9 and 10 are where students begin shaping their senior journey. Learning support continues through SAP and DEEP streams, while all students engage in career planning, subject selection guidance, and work experience to help them find the right direction.

Year 10 also includes a Careers Week and the Community & Service Program (CAS) — an IB-recognised certificate that builds citizenship, teamwork, and real-world responsibility.

By the end of Year 10, teachers work with students and families to choose the senior pathway that best fits their goals: VCE, IB Diploma, or I-LEAD.

Faith continues to guide students through reflection, service, and leadership.

Islamic Studies classes focus on applying principles to modern contexts, helping students lead with empathy, discipline, and purpose.
